A Wild Ride – Week 20 Recap

Week 20 was on The Prairies with rain upon the guys most of the night. All setting up for a WILD RIDE!

Going into the Position Round on Week 21, PAUL THE PAINTER finally caught up with JOEY B’S and they each have 60 points going into a big week of golf. But, lurking just 1 point behind, is HEYL FARMS. This may be one of the most exciting second half finales in years!

Despite the rain, there was some great scoring on the night. 13 different guys carded sub-40 scores and 4 guys carded 40 on the soggy night. Low scratch scores were turned in by DAVE SCHWEITZER and NICK KAUSCH, each with a 35. GARY GARDNER had the low net score of the night (39/29).

  • GOOD: $215 carryover on the skins! FYI: Position Round skins next week bump up to $10!
  • BAD: PAUL THE PAINTER has the tiebreaker advantage over JOEY B’S and over HEYL FARMS. But, JOEY B’S has it over HEYL FARMS.
  • UGLY: Who will be next year’s Team #12?

The only action on the Milestone Watch was the addition of JEFF POHRER. He already hold the league records for most wins, losses, and ties (and, obviously, games played…sorry, AALCO.), and now he’s en route to setting a new high water mark for victories. He got #270 on Week 20 and is looking to establish a new club with 275 victories.

A blast from the past – an early-season handicaps sheet from the 1997 season!
