It was a “San Diego Day” that greeted Coot’s guys on the Prairies for Week 19. But, with just a week of scoring left in the second half, it’s down to just a 3-horse race for the title.
PAUL THE PAINTER took all 10 points on the night to close the gap on JOEY B’S and is now just 2 points off the pace. Trailing right behind them, also by just 2 points, is HEYL FARMS. All of this sets up perfectly for an exciting last week of scoring before the Position Round on Week 21!
Turning int he low scratch score of the night was RICK BRENNAN (36) and the low net score was JIM PLEIMANN (47/29). But, it’s no real surprise given neither made the Lake Tourney trip so…no Lake Hangover for them!
LARRY MOELLERING and JEFF LAURY took home the closest-to-the-pin wins on the night and TIM SARGENT got #146. While PAUL HILLYARD is in solid control of the Sandbagger as the season comes nearer to a close, MIKE O’KANE is staking his claim to Best Record and TOM HEYL has entered the “Sey Tuff Guy” conversation.
In a one week return of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, we’re featuring METRO ELECTRIC, led by DENNIS BOWERS, who lost all 10 points to PAUL THE PAINTER. Word is, DENNIS was last seen at the bar drinking his loss away with his collar up!
The feature match of the week for Week 20 will be JOEY B’S against the defending champs, SOUTHSIDE MACHINE with some important points on the line as the season nears the end.
“And down the stretch we go!”
