C.E.S. Wins Second Half – Week 21 Recap

High humidity with 88-degree temps made for some slow greens for Coot’s guys on the Week 21 Position Round. So, scores were slightly elevated but that didn’t prevent for some theatrics that can lead to some Coot history!

The main story: the match up between JOEY B’S & C.E.S. with a spot in the championship bout against HAEGELE NURSERY next week. C.E.S. took 6.5 points to take home the second half title, earning a chance to take home the 2020 championship. If they do, they’ll be the first team in league history to go from being Team #12 one season to Team #1 the next season!

CONGRATULATIONS C.E.S.!

The tiebreaker in the Title Match goes to C.E.S.; in their 2 match ups of the season, C.E.S. totaled 11 points while HAEGELE NURSERY totaled 9.

All Cooters are welcome to golf for Week 22! If you’re not participating in the Championship Match, you can play in the end of season shoot out for just $10. Pair up with whoever you’d like to golf with and head out for a final round of golf in 2020!

There were 4 sub-par rounds on the night; leading the way was DAVE SCHWEITZER. His 5-under 31 is a new league record, besting the old record set in 2007 by…well…DAVE SCHWEITZER!

Joining him on the sub-par honor roll were: NICK KAUSCH (35), JOE SONDERMAN (35) and CD LONGO (35).

GARY GARDNER and JEFF POHRER won the final closest to awards for 2020. MIKE O’KANE will start the 2021 season one win closer on the Milestone Watch, which will have the same members next year as it did going into Week 21.

With scoring completed for 2020, the individual awards are all set:

THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY…

THE GOOD: C.E.S., winning another half
THE BAD: C.E.S., chances of winning the cup
THE UGLY: DOUG BIGGS & CORY NEWMAN didn’t get the memo
