Coot’s guys were back in San Diego on the Meramec for the delayed Week 22 championship match up between newbies, LONGO BIGGS, and KENRICK’S MEATS. And there was no stoppin’ Team #14!
They needed to overcome with 6 points and they got 7 to win it all. It was down to the wire when a triple bogey on the last hole happened and allowed the newcomers to be forever engraved on one of the greatest trophies in all of sports!
LONGO BIGGS becomes the 19th team to win a title in Coot’s 35 year history. They’re the 10th team to have 1 league championship (record is 5 wins by a team by METRO ELECTRIC).
There are now 227 player names on the coveted prize. Each of the members of this year’s team are first-time winners and there are now 64 players with 1 win in league history. The record is 6 wins by 3 different players: CHRIS CARUSO, CHRIS TOCKSTEIN, and MATT GAGNEPAIN.
