A Tight Race With Just Two Weeks Of Scoring Remaining – Week 20 Recap

In a season that’s had its fair-share of weather issues, it was another great night of golf for Coot’s guys. 85 degrees, no wind, cloudy skies, play on the Meramec. All the elements for some good scoring and a tightening of the standings.

SOUTHSIDE MACHINE got all 10 points and tied for second place with LONGO BIGGS and both teams are only 1.5 points out of first place. HEYL FARMS kept their grip on the top spot though as the top 3 teams of the standings pulled away a bit from the rest of the league.

There was some good shooting overall as well!

Two guys shot a 34, good for the low scratch score of the night: BRETT MINIEX and ADAM LAURY. The low net was flirting with a record (a record held by DOUG WERNER with a 20) as DEREK STEPHENS shot a 42, net 24. Not a record, but one of the lowest of the year.

PAUL HILLYARD got #195 to earn a spot on the Milestone Watch…and JEFF POHRER will have to wait for another season.

PAUL also had one of the closest to prizes on the night; KYLE LONGO had the other.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: Eagle 2 on #2 for RUSS KLEVORN.
THE BAD: Just 3 rounds left.
THE UGLY: Skins envelop, 2 fines?

JEFF LAURY didn’t get a birdie on #6…but he did get something better?
