Week 21 was a real beaut! 90-degree temps, a little breeze on the Prairie. A perfect night for a Position Round…and the stage is set, the band is ready!
It’s the 3-time League Champs, HEYL FARMS, up against the new kid on the block, TC & CO. for the 2022 title!
The Coot Cup was last raised by HEYL FARMS in 2014. And, in case you’re wondering, the tiebreaker goes to…TC & CO. – it should be a fun night on Week 22!
It was a fun night on the individual front too. JEFF POHRER got #299 – so we should have a celebration early in 2023. TONY SMITH shot a 39, which was good for the low net score of 36. NICK KAUSCH had the low scratch score with his 34.
TONY SMITH had one of the closest to prizes. JOE TUREK had the other one…and nearly $2,300!
The 2022 awards are all set too:
- The Sandbagger Award goes to RYAN VAN DILLEN by improving his average by 3.5 strokes (-4)
- TONY JOST made a late season charge to finish at 7-1-1 (.875), good for the Best Record Award
- For the second season in a row, a record of 1-7-0 (.125) proves to be the “tuffest” and good for the Sey Tuff Guy Award for MATT GAGNEPAIN
THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: JOHNY MEYER’S eagle on #9
THE BAD: Still looking for the illegal grips
THE UGLY: LONGO BIGGS handing over the Cup next week!
FYI: all other golfers next week play in the shoot out. $10 per – 4 flights – including the guys in the Title Match. Pizza/Wings/Awards after. First come, first serve. Play with whoever you want.
“What a day for a daydream!”
