The weather was set up for one of the most comfortable nights of this over-heated 2012 season. Overcast skies, a nice breeze, and only 92-degrees greeted Coot’s guys.
Those turned out to be perfect conditions for lights-out golf by some unexpected golfers.
Take Bob Haegele for example. He shot a cool 40 on the night, for the lowest net score of the evening of 27. Eric Pohrer gave him a run for his money; his 43 ended up as a net-28. And Larry Moellering was on fire with his even-par-36, net-39.
GREAT SHOOTIN’ FELLAS!
The standings remained about as consistent as this heat wave at the top of the standings. Mead Electric and C.E.S. held onto their #1 & #2 spots, respectively. But, the rest of the standings are really tightening up. Spots 2-10 are just 9 points out of the top spot. Meaning, a clean sweep of Week 16 for Haegele Nursery could possibly lead to a take over of first place! The biggest jump in the standings on Week 15 came from G & G Snow Plow – that team jumped from sixth place to third place after earning 6 points on the night.
THE GOOD – Bob Twitchell‘s 40-foot putt to birdie #9 en route to the only skin of the night and a nice pot of $220!
THE BAD – Only 5 weeks of the 26th season remain…
THE UGLY – Match Play is winding down…don’t forget that August 16th deadline!
Ron Suda and the one-handed wonder, Kevin Gardner, earned closest-to-the-pin honors on the night.
Yet another week without any movement on the Milestone Watch (John Davis didn’t play this week, so loss #100 will have to come later). Since we just passed another quarter-pole on the season, the player records page has been updated through Week 15 of the 2012 season – CHECK IT OUT!
Another update now that we’re 3/4 through the season – the league rankings have been updated – CHECK THEM OUT TODAY!
