It was an INSANE night filled with lots of low scoring and even a milestone! Coot’s guys got to take on the Meramec side of Tapawingo National with cloudy, 80-degree conditions…and they were apparently up for the battle!
Let’s start with team results:
Team #3, KENRICK’S MEATS, swept all 10 points to stay atop the leader board with 18 points. But, don’t sleep on Team #8, K.G. ELECTRIC, INC., who said “ditto” and jumped into second place with their 10-point sweep–a total of 15 points through 2 weeks.
Now, check this out on the individual front:
Low rounds were turned in by BRUCE THOMAS (35) and BRAD GARLICH (37). Meanwhile, low net scores were turned in by: RAY GILLICK (28/39), LARRY BUMBICKA (28/45), RON SCHMITT (29/39) and JIM PLEIMANN (29/47). Oh yea…by the way…BRAD GARLICH took a loss with that 1-over-par-37!
The Milestone Watch also saw some action on the eventful evening. JOHN WESTRICH earned his second straight victory for #99 on his career. Not to be outdone, JEFF LAURY got #100 on the night, the 27th guy in Coot’s history.
CONGRATULATIONS JEFF!
Kudos also to RAY GILLICK with the Daily Double on the night: he got one of the closest-to-the-pin honors as well as some skins money! The other closest-to came from Mr. 100, JEFF LAURY.
So, perhaps Coot’s guys are going to like the Meramec track. But, Week 3 will round out the Tapawingo Tour as we’ll be on the 3rd course at our new home: the Prairie course.
“Headin’ to the Prairies!”
