It was a hot night on Week 13…but not in the scoring! There were just 4 sub-40 rounds carded on the night by: GARRY BYRD, LARRY MOELLERING, BRUCE THOMAS, and JIM MARKUS.
GARRY BYRD had the low-net-score of the night with his 28 (39). The low-scratch-score was turned in by his playing partner, LARRY MOELLERING (36). LARRY also earned a spot on the Milestone Watch with career victory #145 as he seeks to be just the 14th player in Coot History to join the 150 Win Club.
Also on the Milestone Watch, JOE SONDERMAN became the 44th guy in league history to earn 100 career victories!
CONGRATULATIONS JOE!
The lights-out performance on the Woodlands Course by GARRY BYRD & LARRY MOELLERING helped propel HEYL FARMS to a 10-point sweep over JOEY B’S and a jump from Sixth Place to Third Place in the standings.
PAUL THE PAINTER may be a force to be reckoned with this half as they got another 9 points and are just a half-point away from METRO ELECTRIC in the top spot.
With only 4.5 points between #1 & #6 in the standings, every match is a big one for Week 14. However, the biggest of them may be METRO ELECTRIC (Team 5) vs. HAEGELE NURSERY (Team 6) as there is only a 3.5-point gap between those two teams.
Here’s The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:
- THE GOOD: JOE FRISELLA taking the only skin of the night (which was also a carryover from Week 12) – good for $415!
- THE “BAD”: That skin was the largest single handout in Coot History!
- THE UGLY: JIM ROESCH abusing the “deer”.
“IF ALL GOES WELL, LAKE PAIRINGS BY NEXT THURSDAY.”
