It was a beautiful, 85-degree, typical WEDNESDAY on The Woodlands that greeted Coot’s guys for Week 6 action.
But, what wasn’t typical, was what C.E.S. (Team 4) continues to do in the standings. They’re already pulling away from the pack in the first half after getting 8 more points on the night to extend their lead over SOUTHSIDE MACHINE (Team 5). In fact, there are now only two other teams within 10 points of first place.
There was some typically-good shooting from some of the guys on the night. Leading the way was GEORGE ERMOLD and his low-net-28 (37). Following him up was BRAD GARLICH and MATT TUREK with their closest-to-the-pin honors. A couple other Cooters looked to be back in mid-season form: BRUCE THOMAS (35), JEFF POHRER (37), DENNIS BOWERS (37), and RICK BRENNAN (38).
There was a ton of action on the Milestone Watch. LARRY MOELLERING got #148, MATT TUREK got #147, and RICK BRENNAN got #98. But, the real accomplishment was MIKE WAMSER getting #100, the 45th guy in league history to do so.
CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!
Here’s a rundown of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly:
- THE GOOD: Rollover for “The Players” contest to the US OPEN (June 14-17) – $600!
- THE BAD: TYLER SOLLBERGER‘s loose grip on his “PW”
- THE UGLY: TYLER SOLLBERGER needing to buy a new “PW”
We’ll be back on Thursday night for Week 7 and the feature match-up of the week will be AALCO MFG. (Team 12) trying to cool down C.E.S. (Team 4) on The Meramec.
