Thursday Rainy Thursday – Week 6 Review

Another week, another rainy night of golf.  Coot’s guys were met on Quail Creek’s front-9 with 64° temperatures and a pretty steady rain.  But, a rainy day on the course is better than ANY day in the office!  That was made obvious by some of the good scoring on the night. Four different players had …

Thoughts and Prayers for Bob Brawley

After suffering a stroke early in the week, Bob Brawley (K.G. Electric, Inc.) is recovering quite well. Bob will be kept at St. Anthony’s Medical Center for another day or so for tests and observations. Upon his release, he will begin therapy on his way to a full recovery. His spirits are high and he …

At the Quarter-Post – Week 5 Review

The temperature was in the mid-80s with partly sunny skies. This made for a balmy atmosphere for Week 5 play as Coot’s guys made their way to the quarter-point of the 25th season. It was a pretty standard night of Coot Brown golf. But, for a few guys, it was a special night. First, Kevin …

And The Thunder Rolled – Week 3 Review

Another week, more rain. As the waters continue to rise around Quail Creek (creeping toward the 2nd hole as we speak), the rumble in the standings was as loud as the thunder. Week 3 was greeted with 61-degree temperatures, a cool breeze, and thunderstorms around the area. Oh yea, and more play on the back …

THE DREADED BACK 9! – Week 2 Review

In St. Louis, there are a few things you can be certain of: Ted will make frozen custard, Gus will make pretzels, TLR will bat the pitcher 8th because he can, and the back 9 at Quail will cause Coot’s guys to shake in their golf shoes. But it’s not without reason; on Thursday night, …

Opening Day #25 – Week 1 Review

There’s not much that could have made Opening Day 2011 much better! The weather was near-perfect: partly cloudy/breezy/low 70s. The stage was set for the season to get going. With festive attitudes and rusty swings, Coot’s guys hit the front 9 to get the 25th edition of Coot’s league off and running. There were plenty …
